On September 21, on Skole’s birthday, residents and guests of the city had the opportunity to see a unique cultural event — a special display of exhibits from the Museum of Tolerance of All Religions of the World. The event was organized by the Public Organization “Skolivshchyna Development Office” together with the art space “Ukrainian DNA”.
Exposition
For one day, five recreated architectural masterpieces of world religions were presented to the community:
- Mausoleum of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi (Kazakhstan),
- Great Stupa of Sanchi (India),
- Charlemagne Cathedral and Chapel (Germany),
- Assumption Cathedral of the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra (Ukraine),
- Church of the Holy Sepulchre (Jerusalem).
Each of the models conveys not only architectural grandeur, but also spiritual values that have been formed in different cultures over the centuries.
The peculiarity of the event was that it was young people who joined its implementation: high school students acted as guides and briefly told about the history of each shrine. This gave the event interactivity and created an atmosphere of lively cultural dialogue.
The work on the reproduction of these architectural forms lasted for more than 15 years and became part of a broader initiative – the art space “Ukrainian DNA”, which reveals Ukrainian identity in a global context.
The goal of the project is to show that the Skoliv region can be not only a tourist center of the Carpathians, but also a center of cultural experiments and innovative formats.
The one-day exhibition became an example of how cultural events with deep meaning can be integrated into the celebration of the City Day. It emphasized that the Skoliv region is a territory of dialogue, openness and respect for different cultures and traditions.
Such initiatives shape a positive image of the region, expand opportunities for the development of cultural tourism, and create new platforms for education and community interaction.
